Theresa A. Guertin, 80, a lifelong resident of Danbury, wife of Gilbert J. Guertin, Sr, died May 2 at Danbury Hospital. She was born in Danbury, September 18, 1935, daughter of the late Domenica "Minnie" (Sassetti) and Matthew J.Deitz.

In addition to her husband, four sons, Gilbert J. Guertin, Jr, and wife Joan, of Sandy Hook, Brian G. Guertin, and wife Debra A. Rebstock, of Danbury, Rickie A. Guertin of Danbury, and Arthur A. Guertin, and wife Mei, of New Milford; a daughter, Renée L. Nevins, and husband, Bruce, of Danbury; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers- and sisters-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews survive Mrs Guertin.

She attended Danbury schools, and was a caregiver and retired nurses aide. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and collecting antiques.

Mrs Guertin was member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church of Danbury.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 13, at 10:30 am, in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 12 Cottage Street, Danbury, with the Reverend Peter Towsley, pastor, officiating. Interment will be private. There will be no calling hours. Friends are asked to kindly omit flowers.
