William "Bill" A. Istvan, 61, of Kent died peacefully April 30, at a cabin in the Adirondacks that he completely enjoyed and called "God's Country." He was the son of the late Marianne Piskura Istvan and Joseph Istvan, Sr. He was a master stone mason and the proud father of his son Alexander.

His wife of 38 years, Dolly Corbett Istvan; his mother-in-law Marty Corbett of Newtown; his son Alexander Corbett Istvan; and his brother Joseph Istvan, Jr, survive him. In addition to his parents, his brother Alan Istvan predeceased him.

Mr Istvan lived an authentic life and shared his love, heart, talents, wisdom, and humor daily, all for the benefit of others. He was known to his family as an "icon."

Join the party to honor and celebrate Mr Istvan - "Bill's way" as he would say. Friends and family are invited to the Istvans' home on Saturday, May 13, beginning at noon, for a casual potluck and are invited to bring a dish and share memories.
