Congregation Adath Israel To Host Open House And Yom Ha’atzmaut Celebration, Friday Evening

Congregation Adath Israel invites individuals and families in Newtown and surrounding communities on Friday, May 6, from 5:30 to 7 pm, to learn about the congregation, meet members, and celebrate Yom Ha’atzmaut, Israel’s Independence Day.

Adath Israel is located at 115 Huntingtown Road.

In addition, the open house will feature holiday treats, child-friendly crafts, and festive music.

Attendees are welcome to stay for the children’s service at 7 pm and/or the traditional Friday evening service at 7:30. The service will be followed by an Oneg with refreshments.

Adath Israel is dedicated to sustaining Jewish culture, learning, and spirituality. The congregation prides itself on fostering a warm environment for everyone, including interfaith families. Congregants come from diverse Jewish backgrounds including those new to Jewish tradition.
