Organizers have updated ticket availability for this weekend’s special drive-in screening at Edmond Town Hall.

As was covered in print and online last week, Newtown High School senior Abigail McManus has organized a screening of the 1984 feature Footloose on Friday, May 5, in the lower rear parking lot of the former municipal building, 45 Main Street.

Tickets are $15 for ages 13 and up and $10 for ages 12 and under, with a $50 vehicle maximum.

While all tickets were originally to be purchased in advance, Abby and others have now made things even easier. Those planning to attend can now pay with cash or credit/debit cards at the gate Friday night. The parking lot will open at 8 pm, and the screening will begin at 8:30.

Rain date is Saturday, May 6.

Proceeds from ticket and concession sales will benefit Newtown Ecumenical Workcamp Servants, who are prepping for a trip to Kentucky a few weeks after the 2022-23 academic year concludes.

The fundraising effort is the central point of Abigail’s NHS Capstone Project.
