Critique Of Art, May 11

At SCAN Program

The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN) will have a critique of members work during a program on Wednesday, May 11, beginning at 7:30 pm.

The critiques will be done by Adele Moros and will take place at Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street (lower level). It is not necessary to be a member of SCAN to attend. Admission is free. SCAN members should bring two paintings that they would like to have critiqued. These can be finished or unfinished, framed or unframed

Adele Moros is a multi-media artist with a background in advertising. Her work ranges from miniatures to murals and landscapes and florals to portraits. She has been teaching for over twenty years.

In 2000 Ms Moros designed “Tiffany Cow” for Cow Parade NYC. The Metropolitan Museum has slides of the $60,000 bovine in its permanent collection and uses them in lectures on Tiffany. In 2002 she created “Jungle Gym,” an eight-foot giraffe for Stamford Safari. The same year she designed a faux stained glass porta-potty for Imodium’s “Urban Relief Project” in NYC. The Newark Star Ledger described the piece as a “Show Stopper.”

Ms Moros is currently working on several painting commissions and real estate renderings. She is also preparing a body of tiny paintings that will be shown at the International Guild of Miniature Artisans.
