Musicians With A Mission

DANBURY — The Danbury Deanery of Episcopal Churches – which includes St John’s Episcopal Church in Sandy Hook and Trinity Episcopal Church of Newtown – will present a benefit concert called “Musicians with a Mission … Food Aid Danbury 2004” on Sunday, May 16.

The concert will begin at 3 pm. It will be presented in Ives Concert Hall, 181 White Street on the midtown campus of Western CT State University.

Norwalk Youth Symphony Concert Orchestra, conducted by Richard Brooks, and The Trinitones, Trinity-Pawling School’s elite vocal music group of 14 a cappella singers, under the direction of Paul Nelson, Trinity-Pawling School Director of Performing Arts, will perform a program of familiar and classical music, creating a unique performance collaboration of youthful musical talent.

All proceeds from the concert will be distributed to The Danbury Dorothy Day Hospitality House and The Daily Bread Ecumenical Food Pantry.

Concert tickets, which include a post-concert reception, are $15 for general seating. Anyone who cannot attend the performance is being asked to consider sponsoring tickets for a group of children or senior citizens, who without such a gift would not otherwise be able to attend. Sponsorships of all amounts are gratefully appreciated and are fully tax deductible.

For more information call Louise Wagner at 203-938-9290.
