Kindness On May Day

To the Editor:

The Children’s Adventure Center received the most wonderful surprise on May Day! A colorful, beautiful basket of blooming flowers, ready to plant, from the students in the Writing and Kindness Club at Sandy Hook School.

The accompanying note said, “Happy May Day! We Hope You Enjoy Your May Day Flowers! We Think That You Are A Great Neighbor And Love That You Are So Close To Our School!” from the students in the Writing and Kindness Club at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

What a wonderful gesture and how proud Sandy Hook School must be to have such an outstanding student organization in their midst. How great that elementary school students are being encouraged to write and to practice kindness. Our congratulations to the Writing and Kindness Club for making Newtown and the world a better place through their thoughtfulness and kindness. And we are especially grateful to have been included. The Children’s Adventure Center also thinks you are great neighbors and we love that you are so close to our preschool — please come and visit and watch our flowers grow.
