NICE Parent And Community Group Membership Meeting

The recently formed Newtown International Center for Education Parent and Community Organization (NICE PCO) is scheduled to conduct its first membership meeting to formally elect an executive board and vote on its newly established bylaws. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 14, at 7 pm, in the Newtown High School lecture hall. 

Membership is open to all interested in getting involved in helping support the rapidly expanding NICE program in the Newtown school district.

NICE PCO was established to help increase communication and involvement between the district, parents, and the community, according to an announcement for the meeting. In addition, NICE PCO is working to provide scholarships for students and teachers with financial need to ensure all those who are interested may participate in the NICE program.

As a part of the effort to help raise funding, a membership fee of $10 per individual and $15 per family will be asked for from those that would like to join as an active voting member. For more information about NICE PCO, visit www.nicepco.org.
