Special Public Defender Named For Heath
Attorney Francis L. OâReilly, of the law firm of OâReilly & Shaw, LLC, of Fairfield, has been named as the special public defender for John Heath of Bridgewater in Mr Heathâs defense of a murder charge.
On April 30, Newtown police charged John Heath, 68, with the murder of his wife Elizabeth Gough Heath, 32, in April 1984, while the Heaths lived at a Poverty Hollow Road property in Newtown.
Mr OâReilly practices federal and state criminal law in Connecticut and New York.
Mr Heath, who has pleaded not guilty to the murder charge, has elected to have a jury trial. He is scheduled to next appear in Danbury Superior Court on May 16.
