The Newtown Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization that supports education programs in Newtown Public Schools, is set to host a new member event on Thursday, May 19, at Aquila’s Nest Vineyards, 56 Pole Bridge Road, Sandy Hook, from 6:30 to 8 pm.

The event will offer information about the organization and ways people can sign up to volunteer.

An announcement for the event reads: “The Newtown Education Foundation promotes innovative and creative education programs for Newtown Public Schools. It’s with the support of the Newtown community and generous sponsors that we are able to provide grants to enrich the educational experience for all students.”

The event is open to the public.
