Supports Embree Ku
To The Editor:
I write in support of Michelle Ku as the Democratic candidate for Newtown’s 106th District. It takes time to really get to know a town, and Michelle knows Newtown because she has served it in so many ways.
In the sixteen years that Michelle has lived in Newtown she has served on the Board of Ed for 8 years (as chairman for 4 years), the legislative council, and even two years as a selectman.
At the very beginning, she started small, as Middle Gate PTA Library Volunteer coordinator. As her children grew, so did her volunteer work.
I’ve been a registered Democrat since we moved here in 1971, and I’ve seen people of both parties in town government come and go. Newtown is lucky that we have so many residents who are anxious to serve the town for so many years and in so many capacities.
When Michelle sees a need in Newtown, she acts to find a solution. She has done that for the whole of the sixteen years her family has lived here. And that’s why I support Michelle as the Democratic candidate for Newtown 106th District.
She has put in the time, she has earned my trust, and I will vote for her.
You should, too.
