Upset With Police Action
To the Editor:
About a month ago, I went to the Police Department because I was having a problem. The officer said, “go home and I will follow you in a few minutes.
What he didn’t tell me was he sent an officer in their car to my dead end narrow road with no center line. When I got there, the officer said, “I will follow you.”
When we got to my driveway, they got out of the car and said, “I have to take your license away.”
I said, “Why?”
They said, “You drove in the middle of the road.”
Everybody drives up in the middle of my road. School buses, delivery trucks, etc. It is a windy road.
The Bee has a page full of traffic accidents every week. People hitting poles, other vehicles. All they get is a verbal warning. No one gets their license taken away. It was very unfair an unnecessary for the police to take my license away.
Beware everybody. It could happen to you. It’s not “Nicer in Newtown.”
