Forest Association Announces Meeting, Guest Speaker
The Newtown Forest Association, Inc. (NFA) will hold its annual meeting Friday, May 18, at 7 pm, in the lower meeting room of C.H. Booth Library.
Guest speaker and Wilton town employee Pat Sesto has been invited to share information about a recent trend of deer management practices.
The deer population has exploded with the loss of predators and overdevelopment, forcing the animals to encroach upon homeownersâ properties. Deer can do tremendous damage to gardens and are considered a major contributor to spreading Lyme disease. There are certain techniques to help manage this process.
RSVP by calling 270-3650 or sending an e-mail to nfatreasurer@yahoo.com.
Forest Association officers will report on the prior yearâs activities, summer calendar, plans for the near future and vote on certain governance matters.
