Jewish Communities Summer Camp Scholarships Available
SOUTHBURY â The Jewish Communities of Western Connecticut has summer camp scholarships available this year from three funds: The Charlotte and David Walzer Fund, The Waterbury Hebrew Ladies Aid Association Fund, and the Dr William Finkelstein Fund for children in the Jewish Communities of Western Connecticutâs service area.
The Waterbury Hebrew Ladies Aid Association Fund can provide assistance to up to four campers for any summer camp.
The Charlotte and David Walzer Fund is set up to provide funding for campers who attend a Jewish camp within 100 miles of the Federationâs Southbury home.
The Dr William Finkelstein Fund will provide camp scholarships for Jewish children and families in financial need. (The Grants and Allocations Committee of the Foundation has already awarded monies from the Finkelstein Fund for this yearâs summer camp schedule for such scholarships, however.)
Parents can register online for the scholarships at www.jfed.net, or contact the Foundation office directly at 267-3177, extension 108, for more information.
