Time For Two Budgets?

To the Editor:

The defeat of the town budget twice, shows that the system must be changed.

The ballot should separate the selectman’s budget from the education budget. Two separate budgets. Most voters probably favored one over the other, but since they are lumped together, a No vote is almost guaranteed. The voters of Newtown should demand this change.
