Diabetes Education Workshop Scheduled

BRIDGEPORT — St Vincent’s Medical Center and the Merck Co., are co-sponsoring The Journey for Control, a monthly Diabetes Education Workshop at the hospital.

Participants will learn effective ways to manage their diabetes in a fun, interactive group session, understand the link between healthy eating and blood sugar, discover the importance of timing meals appropriately, and learn to recognize and correct high and low blood sugar levels and much more.

The workshop, which is free, is facilitated by a certified diabetes educator.

The meetings will be held the fourth Thursday of the month from 6 to 7:30pm in St Vincent’s Level 4 Seton Conference Room (next to the cafeteria). The next meeting is Thursday, May 24.
