Firefighters Reached New Heights With Community Service

To the Editor:

Lieutenant Ryan Clark of the Sandy Hook Fire Company has been helping me put together a plan of Community Service. We succeeded when over three Monday nights in May the Sandy Hook Fire Company volunteered their time to come to Walnut Tree Village Phase II and change the batteries in our smoke detectors. The smoke detectors are on cathedral ceilings and not many of us want to climb ladders anymore.

Donations were accepted by the fire department for the service. These were the greatest bunch of guys and it became a fun event for many. They all volunteered for the extra time spent here at Walnut Tree. We finished up with a party at the firehouse.

On behalf of the residents of Walnut Tree Hill Phase II, I can’t thank you enough for all of your services and taking such good care of us all of the time.

Sincerely,

Cathy Sullivan
