Truck Into Tree

About 3:20 am on May 12, motorist Karl W. Sieling, Jr, 21, of 22 Chestnut Hill Road was driving a 2005 Ford F-350 pickup truck on Lakeview Terrace, near Lakeview Terrace Extension, and then swerved to the left in order to avoid striking a deer on the road, police report.

The truck, however, went off the road and struck a tree, police said. Sieling was not injured.

Police said they issued Sieling a written warning for failure to drive to the right.

Boggs Hill DUI

Police said motorist Michael French, 44, of 149 Boggs Hill Road was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck eastward on Boggs Hill Road, near its intersection with Dover Circle, at about 2 pm on May 14, when the truck crossed over into the westbound lane and then went off the westbound road shoulder and traveled down an embankment, coming to rest atop a pile of rocks. There were no injuries.

Police said that following an investigation, they charged French with driving under the influence and with failure to drive to the right.

Police said they released French on $100 bail for a May 30 court appearance.

Wasserman Way

Police report a two-vehicle accident on eastbound Wasserman Way, near Oakview Road, at about 6:14 pm on May 14.

In that incident, motorist Heather Barresi, 36, of 6 Walker Hill Road, who was driving a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan minivan, struck the rear end of a 2009 Chevrolet K-15 SUV driven by Denise Romano, 43, of 7 Sugarloaf Road, police report.

There were no injuries. Police said they issued Barresi a written warning for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
