Pomperaug Garden Club Planning Plant Sale

WOODBURY — The Pomperaug Valley Garden Club will sponsor its Third Annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 19.

The event will be held in Woodbury at the parking lot of 641 Main Street South, just north of intersection with Route 64 (signs will be posted).  Sale hours are 9 am to 1 pm.

The sale will feature a wide variety of locally grown, and reasonably priced, perennials, herbs, grasses, hostas, shrubs, native plants, along with a selection of rare and specialty plants. Garden club members will be on hand to answer questions and assist with purchases.

In addition, there will be a white elephant table featuring gently used garden-related items. Master gardeners will be available to questions about invasive plants.

The fund-raising event will help finance various outreach programs of the PVGC including maintenance of planters and public gardens throughout Woodbury, materials for making holiday wreaths for town buildings, and various workshops and programs offered to the public.
