We Should Be Thanking
Our Bus Drivers Every Day
To the Editor:
On May 15, students at Head Oâ Meadow School celebrated their annual Bus Driver Appreciation Day, bringing notes and pictures to their drivers to thank their owner-operators for taking them to and from school each day. As a token of their appreciation, the HOM PTA presented each of the drivers with Dunkinâ Donuts gift cards. We are extremely fortunate at Head Oâ Meadow (and in all of our schools in Newtown) to have our owner-operators. Safety is their number one priority, and they make us and our children smile every day. It is every day that we should be saying thank you to the men and women to whom we entrust the care of our children on their journeys to and from school. Many thanks to Bob McLaughlin, Bus #7; Dave Selleck, Bus #8; James Tomassetti, Bus #10; Phil Carroll, Bus #13; William Henckel, Bus #14; Elizabeth Koschel, Bus #16; Paul Miles, Bus #18; Bill Andras, Bus #19; Janice Paynter, Bus #22; John Cash, Jr, Bus #23; Dan Paynter, Bus #25; Manny Pavone, Bus #32; and Jane Wheeler, Bus #74. A special thank you is also extended to MTM Transportation and to KinderCare for their help in transporting Head Oâ Meadow students as well. We are very lucky to have all of you transporting our children and appreciate you going the extra mile for our families!
