Regional Hospice, Boehringer Ingelheim Planning Annual Art Gala

RIDGEFIELD — The Art of Caring, a gala event featuring art, entertainment, and exceptional cuisine, will be conducted Friday, June 10, beginning at 7 pm. The event takes place at Boehringer Ingelheim’s US corporate headquarters located at 900 Ridgebury Road.

This is the 26th year that Boehringer Ingelheim has hosted The Art of Caring, which benefits the patients and families served by Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut.

“We appreciate Boehringer Ingelheim hosting this exceptional event once again this year,” said Cynthia Roy Squitieri, Regional Hospice executive director. “The support shown by the community through The Art of Caring directly helps our agency care for thousands of people in western Connecticut. Funds raised also help cover the costs for our community bereavement programs offered through The Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children & Families.”

“This year’s Art of Caring will be better than ever,” said George Mulvaney, chair of the event. “I encourage the community to join us for a spectacular evening. We will have an unprecedented showcase of work from more than 120 of our area’s finest artists. You’ll enjoy cuisine from some of the finest restaurants and caterers, accompanied by a variety of top-notch music.”

Well-known Bethel artist Laura McCormick will be in the spotlight as the featured artist. Ms McCormick is well-known for her highly detailed portraits and architectural drawings done in charcoal or color pencil — all of which will be available for sale at The Art of Caring.

The gala will also include a wide variety of art available through silent auction or direct sale of fine paintings, creative photography, sculpture, pottery, glassworks, handcrafted jewelry, and prints.

“Boehringer Ingelheim is pleased to host this very special community event and benefit,” said J. Martin Carroll, president and CEO of Boehringer Ingelheim Corporation. “Supporting the work of Regional Hospice goes hand-in-hand with our commitment to patients and families.”

Admission is $150 per person. Advertising and sponsorship opportunities are available.
