ANTIQUE TRUCK, MACHINERY & MOTORCYCLE SHOW JUNE 9–10, cuts requested

ak/gs set 5-24 #701234

RHINEBECK, N.Y. — Antique trucks, motorcycles and farm equipment aficionados will convene June 9 and 10 at the Dutchess Country Fairgrounds for a weekend of mechanical nostalgia. The Antique Truck, Machinery and Motorcycle Show, hosted by The Century Museum Village and Collectors’ Association of Dutchess County, features early 1900s trucks, motorcycles and farm machinery. It will be open to the public free of charge from 9 am to 4 pm.

Events will include old-time tractor demonstrations, a garden tractor pull on Sunday and a pedal-tractor pulling contest for children. Youngsters are invited to try their skills in the pull. All young contestants will receive a favor.

Antique engines will be powering some of the machines that simplified country living nearly a century ago.

At the Antique Museum Village building, costumed interpreters will entertain questions while they demonstrate bygone skills such as blacksmithing, spinning, weaving and wood crafts.

Members of the Mid-Hudson Chapter of the Antique Truck Club of America will be showing their classic trucks. Nonmembers are invited to show their antique trucks at no charge. This is not a judged event.
