Mark Francis Taylor, 65, of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away on May 18, 2022. Born March 6, 1957, in Newport, R.I., he was the son of the late Adelle Baker Taylor and the late Gerald Moran Taylor.

Mark was a man of many talents. He was a gifted painter and passionate about art and art history. He was an avid photographer and reveled in chronicling his family’s genealogy and the history of Newport through his late father’s extensive archive of photographs. An exceptional haberdasher and salesman, he was a loyal team member for many years at Mitchells of Westport.

More than anything, Mark loved his family and spending time with them. He is survived by his beloved wife of 16 years, Juanita Hall Taylor, and their children, Nyasha Taylor and Jonathan Taylor; and mother in-law, Carrie Hall of Summerville, S.C. Mark leaves a brother, Gerald Taylor, Jr, of Middletown, R.I.; a sister, Holly Taylor, and her husband, Richard Lamb, of Savannah, Ga.; a sister-in-law, Natalie Taylor of Bristol, R.I.; and many nieces and nephews.

His brothers Michael Taylor and Christopher Taylor, predeceased him.
