The Horticulture Club of Newtown and The Fairfield County Agricultural Extension Council (FCAEC) will co-host a plant and used gardening book sale on Saturday, May 31, 9 am-1 pm, at Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street.

The Horticulture Club of Newtown’s annual fund raiser supports the Newtown High School Scholarship Fund, providing a scholarship to a local student pursuing environmental studies, horticulture, farming or earth science studies.

FCAEC is a nonprofit organization focused on supporting and promoting the UConn Extension within Fairfield County. Proceeds from the book sale will be used to support educator programs at the local extension that include Community Nutrition, Master Gardener, 4-H and Urban Agriculture.

Lots of amazing plants and hundreds of books will be available to choose from. Those planning to attend are encouraged to shop early for the best selection.
