The Fraser-Woods School Celebrates
Grandparentâs/Special Personâs Day
On May 11, approximately 250 grandparents and âspecial visitorsâ arrived at The Fraser-Woods School to celebrate the schoolâs Grandparentâs/ Special Personâs Day. The schoolâs gym had been transformed into a beautiful dining room where the guests were treated to a delicious continental breakfast of homemade croissants and muffins, fresh fruit, coffee, and orange juice.
While they ate, they got to know each other and renewed acquaintances from past events as a PowerPoint presentation of school life during the past year filled one wall of the gym. Alison Kistner, director of admissions at the school, greeted them and introduced Myriam Woods, head of school, who welcomed them and spoke briefly about the 100th anniversary of Montessori schools.
The Fraser-Woods School Chorus sang, and the day culminated in a visit with the children in their classrooms.
