Rowers Race To Bronze Medal

The US Rowing Northeast Junior District Championships were held at Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass May 19-20. 

Representing the GMS Rowing Center in New Milford, Constantine Gregoire and Anthony Vournazos, freshmen at Newtown High School, rowed in the Men’s Youth Second 4x race. 

The boat finished second in the qualifying heat with a 7:06:846 time for the 2000 meter event on the first day of the event. They took bronze in the final race, on day two, with a time of 7:26:339. Also rowing in the 4x boat were Dan Arrato of Oxford and Kyle Onorato from Brookfield.
