To Support Education

To the Editor:

We are writing to express our concern with the current Board of Education budget. We sent an e-mail to the Legislative Council last week to make them aware of our concerns.

We voted Yes on the first proposal because we were in favor of both sides of the budget. We voted No on the second budget because we could not understand nor support the reduction made to education. We will continue to support Newtown, and more importantly, the education of the children of Newtown, by voting No until the monies are restored to the education side of the budget as originally proposed.

We thank the Legislative Council for its continued service to this town, and we know that they will do the right thing.
