To the Editor:

On Saturday, May 14th, the Town Clerk’s office successfully hosted Newtown’s annual low cost rabies vaccination clinic in coordination with the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association.

I would like to thank my assistants Renee Weimann and Katie Charbonneau and our volunteers Micayla Charbonneau and my granddaughter Emma, who were on hand to issue rabies certificates and lend a helping hand to those pets who were very excited to get vaccinated.

And a very special thank you to Dr Vali DVM and Mary Simpson, lead technician of Mt Pleasant Hospital for Animals, who donated their time, service and dog biscuits for the clinic. They are so patient and gentle when vaccinating your pets.

I could not run the clinic without all of these wonderful people. Thank you!

Sincerely,

Debbie Aurelia Halstead — Town Clerk

Newtown
