Renee Lovett, 53, of Yonkers, New York, passed away unexpectedly on May 21, 2025, at home in Newtown, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on April 3, 1972, in Yonkers, Renee lived a life bursting with energy, laughter, and love. She worked in both the medical field and as a flight attendant — two paths that perfectly suited her compassionate heart and adventurous soul.

Renee was full of life. She was the one who lit up every room, the one who made strangers feel like old friends, and the one who never ran out of time for someone in need. She was the life of the party, the entertainer, the storyteller — and always smiling. Her heart was big enough for everyone, and her presence made everything feel a little more joyful.

She is survived by her loving husband, Diarmuid (53); and their two beloved children, Riley (14) and Shane (12), who were her pride and joy; her mother, Renee; her sister, Kelly; nieces Katelyn and Gabriella; and numerous extended family members. Renee’s love for her family was boundless and unwavering.

Friends may call at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street in Newtown, on Saturday, May 31, 1-4 pm, during which time a Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Renee’s remarkable life. All are welcome to attend and share in remembering the joy she brought into the world.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any cancer research organization of your choice, in Renee’s memory — a cause close to her heart.

Renee’s light was bright, her love was enormous, and her impact was unforgettable. She will be missed beyond words and remembered with nothing but love.
