Scams are getting smarter, but so can readers.

On Wednesday, June 4, at 1 pm, C.H. Booth Library Information Technology Librarian Jon Barker will present “Spot the Scam: How to Recognize Phishing Emails, Texts & Calls.”

During his one-hour session, Barker will walk through real examples of suspicious emails, texts, and phone calls, and show how to spot red flags. Attendees will learn simple, practical tips for staying safe online and on their phone.

No technical knowledge is required.

The class will focus on prevention and awareness, not handling active scams. It will be presented in the Gathering Room of the library, 25 Main Street.

Registration is requested and available through chboothlibrary.org. For additional information contact Barker at 203-426-4533 extension 4 or technology@chboothlibrary.org.
