On Friday, May 23, Middle Gate students toured the historic Main Street area as part of its annual walking tours. While walking down Main Street, the students make several stops including Edmond Town Hall, the Matthew Curtis House, and The Newtown Bee.

During the tour, the students stop at each department and learn about how the departments work together to create both The Newtown Bee and Antique & Arts Weekly.

The students also learn when the first edition of The Bee was published, which was in 1877. The students also look through old bound volumes of the paper from the year they were born.

The students were all very excited to have their photo taken and be featured in the paper. The staff here at The Bee looks forward to seeing the students in future editions of the paper.
