Jennifer Marie Dahlgard, NHS Class of 2003, graduated Magna Cum Laude receiving a bachelor of science in finance, minor in economics, from the Gabelli School of Business at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Jennifer was president of Delta Sigma Pi Professional Business Fraternity, member of Alpha Chi Honor Fraternity, Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Fraternity, president of Financial Management Association, and a University Ambassador.
Christopher LaRocque, NHS Class of 2003, received a bachelorâs degree in business administration, concentrating in international business from the George Washington University School of Business, Washington, D.C. Chris, the undergraduate student speaker at commencement, served as the executive editor of The Cherry Tree, GWâs yearbook, and as a mentor in the First Year Development Program, and is a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Chris has accepted a position at Deloitte Consulting in Washington, D.C.
Nikia Rosa McFadden, a senior at Newtown High School, has been selected by Duke University, Durham, N.C., to receive a Reginaldo Howard Scholarship. Nikia, daughter of Betty and Bernard McFadden, was one of seven students selected based on outstanding leadership ability, scholastic achievement, community involvement, and evidence of serious commitment to a life of service to others.
Kate Ebert, daughter of Bill and Kim Ebert, was named to the Deanâs List for the spring semester at Penn State University, Altoona, Penn. Kate was a 2006 graduate of Newtown High School.
