Brookfield 13, JP Maguire 8 – Jennifer Callery had two hits and three RBI to lead JP Maguire in a loss to Brookfield. Taylor Johnson banged out two hits and scored two runs while Taylor Demirjian chipped in with two hits, including a double. Defensively, Nicole Nonnenmacher made two great plays at second while Sarah Smith and Morgan Davola pitched well over the last few innings not allowing any runs to score.

Global Financial Consulting 16, JP Maguire 9 – Jess Hubina and Jess Gibbons drove in two runs apiece to lead GFC to the win. Shannon Barra had a strong defensive game with three putouts and Emily Berson had a solid performance at the plate. For Maguire, Caitlin Teftt and Victoria Picerno each went 2-for-2 while Picerno and Morgan D’Avola scored two runs each. On defense, Taylor Demirjian, Meagan Murphy, and Caitlin Cocivi had great fielding performances, each with multiple put outs.

Newtown Insurance 11, Brookfield 9 – Sarah Pettinelli, Rebecca Reed and Linnea Pearson played well in the field to lead Newtown past Brookfield. Marissa Chappell had good at bats and scored twice. Also having a multiple  hit and RBI game was Susan Mason, Rachel Camejo and Bianca LeBlanc to fuel the offense.

 

U12

 

Dr Curtis Beck 13, The Toy Tree 6 – Jill Moller pitched well and Kate Butera played well in the field to lead Beck. Bethany Dubois, Marian Blawie, and Jessica Jowdy powered the offense. For The Toy Tree, Jade Mather and Diana Carozza played well in the field while Alex De Wolfe had a solid pitching effort.

Dr Curtis Beck 16, Keno Graphics 9 – Mary Beth Meier singled and doubled twice to lead Beck. Katie Fossum had three solid hits as Bethany Dubois and Kelly Ann McCarthy played well in the field. For Keno, Kira Reed had a great hit, Meagan Davis caught a nice fly ball and Mallorie Dunn was a defensive standout as catcher.

Dr Curtis Beck 8, Hull Landscaping 5 – Mary Beth Meier doubled three times while Erin Begg homered to lead Beck to the win. Kelly Ann McCarthy had two hits and played well in the field as Begg had seven strikeouts in a strong pitching effort. For Hull, Sarah Hull and Nora Murphy played well in the field while Tara Dawley had two hits.

Dr Curtis Beck 13, Newtown Junior Women 4 – Megan Duero homered to lead Beck to another win. Erin Begg had six strikeouts and Nadia El Hag pitched well in relief while Marian Blawie played well in the field, For NJW, Amanda Rowan had two hits, Alana Ruscoe pitched well and while Casey French and Katelyn Dandrea made some fine plays in the field.

Rich’s Keys & Locks 11, Dr Curtis Beck 7 – Alexa Powell pitched two strong innings and knocked in two runs on the way to lead Rich’s to an 11-7 win over Beck. Kamryn Harmeling smashed a key double down the right field line to spark the offense and Katie Tomascak made an outstanding running catch in left field to lead the defense. For Dr. Beck, Jessica Jowdy had a triple and Nadia El Hag had a double as Kendall Svanda and Kate Butera banged out two hits each.

Rich’s Keys & Locks 18, designerbodies 12 – Courtney Escoda pitched two strong innings in the win for Rich’s while Kimmy Gates and Lillia McEnaney anchored a solid team defensive effort. For designerbodies, Carlie Gehrman and Lauren McMahon led the offensive attack and Rhea Schneider pitched well.

Rich’s Keys & Locks 10, The Toy Tree 6 – Claire Miles smashed a double and a bases-clearing triple in the win for Rich’s. Katie Appley pitched two crucial innings and had two key hits while Sarah Potter contributed with an RBI. For the Toy Tree, Ali Dewolfe, Dianna Carrazo and Jade Mather all hit the ball well and center fielder Emily Nacawicz and catcher Courtney Yapp teamed up for a beautiful tag out at home.

 

U10

 

Ferris Mulch 4, Comfortable Living 0 – Kyle D’Andrea collected two hits and Carley Ferris pitched three strong innings to lead Ferris to the win. Shaina Errico pitched well as Liz Darrah and Caitlin Jones had hits.

Ferris Mulch 5, The Toy Tree 1 – Erin Bernardi and Rose Paggett banged out hits to lead Ferris as Shaina Stamp led Toy with three hits, including a triple. Morgan Macchiarulo pitched well.

Ferris Mulch 14, Top Notch 2 – Meghan Logan had three hits and Amanda Vitti and Leonie Schmitt each collected two hits to lead Ferris. For Top Notch, Madison Erhardt and Kristen Yapp banged out two hits apiece. Mary Joe Rossie and Emma Lloyd played well.

Ferris Mulch 11, Top Notch 3 – Rose Paggett and Meghan Logan collected three hits apiece while Julia Frattaroli had a single and double. Valentina Pena pitched well. For Top Notch, Anna Guargno had a solid pitching effort as Juliana Sansonetti and Lauren Henchcliffe had two hits each. Kayla O’Grady and Tonya Tucker also pitched well.

Top Notch Landscaping 5, Newtown Phone Book 3 – Clutch hitting by Kirsten Yapp and Emily Davis and superb fielding by Kayla O’Grady and Madison Erhardt lifted Top Notch to the win. Anna Guargno pitched well. Yapp won the Pink Poodle Team Player of the Game award for two runs scored and some great base running.

Carminuccio’s Pizza 13, Newtown Pools 11 – Katherine Cappelli, Caitlyn Linden and Caroline Keane made all-star plays while Sarah Bender and Bridget Duero hit well to lead Carminuccio’s. Stefanie Carr, Sydney Hagerman and Emma Davola played well while Kelly Merrick pitched well for Newtown Pools.
