CycleFest June 10

BETHEL — Hat City Cyclists invites cyclists to participate in the 20th Anniversary of CycleFest, a self-paced ride through scenic country roads in Western Connecticut, on Sunday, June 10. Riders have their choice of routes of 14, 23, 54, 80 miles, and a century option of 104 miles. The event has free bike repairs at the rest stops courtesy of Bike Express of Danbury and the Bicycle Center of Brookfield. Proceeds of the event benefit Danbury Youth Services.

Newtown’s Monica Roberto is CycleFest assistance chairperson and John McFarland and Jeff Douglas are part of the volunteer effort.

Registration is $32 before June 5; $40 after. Children under 16 may ride with registered adult for $10. CycleFest starts at Bethel Middle School, 600 Whittlesey Ave. Contact Roger Snow at 203-794-1107. To sign up go to www.hatcitycyclists.org.
