LLS Fun Day For Cancer Survivors, Families, June 10
DANBURY â On Saturday, June 9, the Connecticut Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and Danbury Moose Lodge No. 1373 will host the first of what they hope will become an annual Family Fun Day Celebration. The special event is for cancer survivors and their families.
Family Fun Day will take place at the Danbury Moose Family Center, 75 Boulevard Drive, from noon until 5 pm.
Carnival themed games, food, live entertainment including a performance by the Connecticut-based band Z-Train, childrenâs activities and raffles will all be offered.
On this special day LLS and the Moose Lodge are expected to host more than 400 guests and volunteers.
There is a suggested donation of $5 per person, while families of four have a suggested donation of $15. Cancer survivors and children ages 5 and under will be admitted free.
LLS is hoping to raise more than $5,000 during the fun-filled day, which will continue the organizationâs ongoing mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkinâs disease, and myeloma and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
