Mad Dash Challenge June 9

Newtown’s Mad Dash Challenge, a fitness competition, will be held at Fairfield Hills on Saturday June 9. Participants will jump, crawl, carry, and climb their way to the finish. The event includes a mud crawl, log run, hay obstacle course, balance beam, monkey bars, tire obstacle course, barrier climb, cargo net, and fitness challenge. It is sponsored by Newtown Youth Academy and Newtown Parks & Recreation. Categories are offered for advanced, beginner, and family, at 8:30, 9 and 9:30 am, respectively. Cost is $25 for adults and $15 for children (early birds) and $35 and $20 for late entries. Cost for a team of ten is $150. Visit http://www.newtownyouthacademy.org/maddash.
