New Lab Facility Supports

New Milford Hospital Patients

NEW MILFORD — New Milford Hospital’s new outpatient laboratory Patient Service Center has opened at 120 Park Lane, just north of the hospital on Route 202. All outpatients who currently use New Milford Hospital for lab services are encouraged to use this new location.

Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. This new site offers ample, free parking and expanded hours to serve the community, Monday through Friday, 7 am to 5 pm; and Saturdays 7 am to 1 pm.

This office joins four other locations to offer comprehensive outpatient laboratory services to patients and physicians throughout the region, which include Patient Service Centers in Brookfield, Danbury, Ridgefield, and Southbury.

Services performed at the Patient Service Centers include phlebotomy (blood drawing) and specimen collection for a wide range of analysis and testing. A physician’s lab test order can be faxed, electronically transmitted, or hand carried to the center.

For the small percentage of testing that requires additional expertise, the laboratory provides physicians with access to reference lab information and support from Mayo Clinic, offering the most advanced laboratory expertise available anywhere.

“Health care is moving at an increasingly fast pace, and patients are moving in many directions — which is why we are integrating laboratory services across Danbury and New Milford hospitals, and in communities throughout the region,” said Paul Fiedler, MD, the newly appointed chairman of laboratory medicine.
