Arlene M.       Bodington

Trumbull School     System Volunteer For Many Years

Arlene M. Bodington, 73, of Trumbull, died May 29 at Bridgeport Hospital. Mrs Bodington was born in Bridgeport and was a longtime Trumbull resident.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Herbert A. Bodington of Trumbull; her two sisters, Janet Olah and her husband, Robert, of Newtown and Marie Sexton and her husband, Mark, of Williamsburg, Va.; her four children and their spouses, Scott and Barbara Bodington of Trumbull, Craig and Eileen Bodington of Wethersfield, Lane and Thomas Whitmoyer of Trumbull, and Drew and Martha Bodington of Stratford; 13 grandchildren, Johanna, Caroline, James, Heather, Jeffrey, Joseph, Matthew, Caitlyn, Emily, Abigail, Connor, Maggie, and Ross; one great-granddaughter, Melanie; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs Bodington graduated from the University of Bridgeport School of Nursing and practiced nursing until she married and stayed home to raise her four children. She was a volunteer for more than 35 years with the Trumbull school system. She and her husband were charter members and the first presidents THSGEMB Association. Mrs Bodington was also a past president of Jane Ryan Elementary School and Madison Junior High School PTA.

Funeral services were held June 1 in St Theresa Church, Trumbull. Interment was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
