Women’s Center Offers Support Group For Men Who Have Suffered Abuse

DANBURY — “Voices of Courage” is a free and confidential ten-week evening support group for adult male survivors of any form of sexual assault.

This closed, facilitated group will provide a safe place for the adult male survivor to explore and share his experiences, learn from others, and continue to heal and grow. It will address topics such as anger, dealing with flashbacks, guilt, relationships, recovery, and moving on.

The Women’s Center provides free and confidential services to prevent or lessen the trauma associated with domestic violence, sexual assault, and other major life transitions to thousands of women, children, and men annually. The programs of the Women’s Center are supported by state and local government, area United Way agencies and the people and businesses in the communities we serve, including Newtown

A “Voices of Courage” group is forming now to begin Monday, June 6. Registration is required.
