Benefits Of Massage Therapy For Patients With Lupus

FARMINGTON — A workshop exploring the benefits of massage therapy for people with lupus will be held on Thursday, June 10, from 6 to 8 pm, at the University of Connecticut Health Center.

The program is being sponsored by the Lupus Foundation of America, Connecticut Chapter, and will be held in the conference room of the health center’s Academic Research Building. Participants should use the main hospital entrance or the academic entrance.

 Michelle Amo, a nationally certified, Connecticut-licensed massage therapist, will run the program. Ms Amo is a graduate of the Connecticut Center of Massage Therapy and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.

The Lupus Foundation of America (LFA) is the largest lupus group with a nationwide network of local chapters and community-based support groups.
