For the 27th consecutive year, Masonicare at Newtown will sponsor free Summer Sounds concerts on its grounds at 139 Toddy Hill Road, Newtown. 

Area residents are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy a variety of wonderful musical performances given by many of the area’s most popular bands.  All concerts will be held on Wednesday evenings at 7 pm.  In case of inclement weather, rain dates are the following evenings.

June 12, The Berkshire Big Band, with music of the 30s, 40s and 50s (rain date Thursday, June 13);

June 26, The 42 Street Band, with rock, blues, and jazz (rain date Thursday, June 27);

July 10, The Clam Diggers, with Dixie jazz (rain date Thursday, July 11);

July 24, The Big Beat Band, with music of the 50s and 60s (rain date Thursday, July 25);

August 7, The Larry Ace Band, with country music (rain date Thursday, August 8); and

August 14, The Frank Porto Band, with music of the 30s and 40s (rain date Thursday, August 15).
