Yoga Classes At Brookfield

Health Center

BROOKFIELD — New Milford Hospital has announced that the Woodbury Yoga Center will hold yoga classes at the hospital’s athletic and industrial health facility, located in the Brookfield Health Center in Brookfield.

Woodbury Yoga Center instructors will teach the classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 to 7:30 pm. Tuesday classes will run from June 6 through July 18 and Thursday classes will run from June 8 through July 20. Cost is $85 for the seven weeks.

Woodbury Yoga Center, established in the early 1980s, is a not-for-profit center committed to making yoga conveniently available to the community. The Center is located in Woodbury and is managed by Eileen Perry.

“I am very pleased the Brookfield Health Center and the Woodbury Yoga Center are collaborating to bring yoga to our community. The practice of yoga can benefit everyone in numerous ways. Through yoga, anyone can learn to connect their mind, body, and spirit. It starts with proper breathing and posture, and yoga can improve our moods, our energy and stamina, and our strength, balance, and flexibility. It is a wonderful way to stay calm in times of stress and to generally feel, look, and stay young. I hope this is the beginning of a long relationship with our community, the Woodbury Yoga Center, and the Brookfield Health Center,” said Tamara Sachs, MD, internist, and integrative health consultant.
