With Newtown High School’s first streaming spring musical complete, the stage is “set” for the next streaming musical. The Mystery of Edwin Drood will stream June 6, at 7 pm.

NHS Choral Director Jane Matson, who is directing and choreographing both musicals, said after Godspell streamed on May 14, “It went very well.” Freshmen and sophomores presented Godspell; juniors and seniors are presenting The Mystery of Edwin Drood. There are no in-person audience performances.

The production’s director is Jane Matson; the musical director is Anna DeMasi; the technical director is Brian Tenney; producers are Alysia Caffrey, Tegan Famiglietti, and Janice Gabriel; the rehearsal pit conductor is Kurt Eckhardt; and Marie Armstrong is overseeing costumes.
