Residents are invited to take advantage of a cost-effective opportunity to have pet cats and dogs vaccinated against rabies. The rabies clinic will take place Saturday, June 20, from 10 am to noon, in the gymnasium of Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street.

Cost for the vaccination is $20, cash only. The vaccines will be administered by staff from Mt Pleasant Hospital for Animals.

If no previous rabies paperwork or tags are presented, a one-year vaccination will be given; those with paperwork or tags can receive a vaccination good for three years.

Additionally, residents looking to license dogs — renewals are due by June 30 — will be able to do so at Edmond Town Hall that day. Current rabies certificates are required to license dogs. Cost is $19, or $8 for spayed or neutered dogs.

For additional information contact Mt Pleasant Hospital for Animals at 203-426-8585 or the Town Clerk’s Office, 203-270-4210.
