The Friends of the C.H. Booth Library is announcing its annual temporary Donations Pause from Monday June 23-Sunday July 20. During this break, the Friends will not accept any items: books, jigsaw puzzles, media, etc.

Any donations brought to the library for the Friends from June 23-July 20 will be discarded. The Friends will again welcome donations starting Monday, July 21.

This break will allow Friends volunteers to prepare for the upcoming 49th Annual Book Sale from July 11-July 15 at Reed Intermediate School in Newtown.

Book Sale Chair Denise Kaiser said, “We thank our generous donors for respecting the pause again this year. Your cooperation and support are what allows the Friends to host what the Boston Globe calls “One of the largest and most well-run book sales in the country.” Kaiser added, “We hope to see you at the sale and then back in our Donation Room after July 20 when we resume our onsite efforts on behalf of the library.”
