To the Editor:

Many thanks to all the Town and Country Garden Club volunteers who spent their Sunday morning pulling invasive Mile-a-Minute vine along the trail at High Meadow. Seeded berries are easily spread to new areas by birds and mammals, so the group's timing for removal couldn't be better, before fruits appear. The Conservation Commission is grateful for the efforts of volunteers in helping to control invasives in our open spaces.
