Due to a change in the schedule of our printer, many local subscribers will not receive the June 19, 2026 print edition of The Newtown Bee as planned.

Juneteenth will fall this year on Friday, June 19. A federal holiday, there is no regular US Postal Service mail delivery that day.

This change in the printing schedule means the early deadlines schedule previously announced has been canceled. All deadlines for the July 19, 2026 print edition will follow the regular schedule.

We apologize for this confusion.

The paper will be printed on Wednesday and Thursday, June 17-18. It will be delivered to the post office on Thursday, but will not reach most subscribers until Saturday, June 20.

Federal Reserve Banks and branches will be closed on Juneteenth.

Town of Newtown offices will be open, however, as will C.H. Booth Library, Newtown Community Center, and Newtown Senior Center.

The offices of The Newtown Bee will also be open.
