Newtown Hook & Ladder is planning a new family-friendly event this summer that will double as a fundraiser for the town’s oldest fire company.

Bounce House Bonanza has been announced for Saturday, August 21, rain or shine, from 11 am until 4 pm. The COVID-safe event will be presented at the company’s headquarters, 12 Church Hill Road.

Donations will be accepted at the door, with $20 per family suggested.

The family fun day will include bounce houses, free popcorn, a tie-dye station, an obstacle course, dunk tank, and a Paw Patrol special guest.

The public is also invited to stop, drop, and roll over to Hook & Ladder’s first Fire Exposition.

Another new event for the town’s oldest volunteer fire company, the Fire Exposition is planned for Saturday, September 18, from 1 to 4 pm.

Admission is free.

The afternoon will be filled with demonstrations, training, family activities, snacks, music, and more.
