Two Comics, One Weekend: Treehouse Club Special Event
Two Comics, One Weekend:
Treehouse Club Special Event
The upcoming weekend of June 23-25 will be one of the funniest weekends of comedy in Fairfield County.
Last Comic Standing finalist and scene-stealer Rich Vos will headline on Friday night at The Spyglass in Westport. The star of four HBO specials, Bob Nelson will return to The Treehouse in Danbury on Saturday, June 24, and then performing an encore performance on Sunday, June 25, at Marisaâs in Trumbull.
Combined, these two club comics have done over 50 network and cable television appearances between them. Their styles are extremely contrary yet they both have a handful of common denominators. Rich Vos is edgy, improvisational, bold and not afraid to touch on sensitive issues. Bob Nelson is spanking clean, inventive, and literally is a cast of characters within himself.
Both comics have an instinctual ability to improvise while interacting with an audience, both are stand-up comedy veterans with thousands of stand-up comedy appearances shared between them, and both are Treehouse customer favorites.
Bonnie McFarlane â Richâs pregnant, funny, and talented wife â will be Mr Vosâs opening act.
Tickets are $19.50 and can be reserved by calling The Spyglass at 203-418-2518. The restaurant is at 1595 Post Road East.Â
Opening for Bob Nelson both nights will be Willie Sacco.
Tickets for the Danbury and Trumbull shows are $19.50. A pre-show buffet will be available in Danbury, with a suggested seating time of 8 pm. Tickets for the buffet are $10.95.
The Danbury show will be at New Sorrento Restaurant, 32 Newtown Road; call 744-5575 for reservations or additional information.
Showtime for Sunday is 7:30 at Marissaâs Chophouse 7 bar, 6540 Main Street; call 459-4225.
