To the Editor:

On Christmas 2020, I received an amazing gift certificate from my son for Avance Day Spa, Church Hill Road, Newtown. A spa day! Mani/Pedi! Massage!

Imagine my dismay when I tried to book an appointment two weeks ago, only to find that the business has closed with NO notice to clients. There is no notice on the door, their website is shut down, and you cannot call and leave a message because the voice mailbox is full.

While checking social media for answers or support, I found several people in the same position; people out hundreds of dollars and the owner, Melanie Allen, has not contacted anyone or made any public statement of closure.

I hope that Ms Allen will respond to this letter with some answers for her clients. It’s the least she can do.
